October 4^th 2008 saw Wrestlution 2 entered into the record books and the 300 fans that attended the event at Carnegie Leisure Centre where not disappointed as the event lived up to its billing as the biggest event of the W3L calendar.

With the main event changed due to Mike Musso’s untimely injury and the tag team championships vacated due to unforeseen departures, chaos was the theme for Wrestlution 2.

The event began with David Paris gaining an assertive victory over “Disco Biscuit” Freddy da Funk. Refusing to let go of his Texas cloverleaf submission hold Paris vowed to the live crowd that he would make an impact at Wrestlution 2.

This chance would come in the main event, An “I quit, towel match” with the 7 foot tall Prince of Pain defending against 30 stone Invincible. Mike Musso was to be holding the towel in Invincibles corner and knowing how well Paris knew Musso, the Prince of Pain requested backstage that Paris be in his corner.

Next up was the first round in the tournament to crown new W3L tag team champions. Wolfgang and Darkside reformed T2K in an impressive outing defeating new arrivals the Soviet Wrecking Crew, Anton and Boris Chernov who had vowed to win the belts for . Also in the first round Kid Fite introduced Vinnie James as his new partner and managed to pick up the win against the former tag team champions Highland Fusion.

More championship action was on the way as Sara had issued an open challenge for the W3L womens title. In a bizarre turn of events this challenge, which in fairness was left “open”, was accepted by EG Mackie. In becoming the first male in to challenge for a female championship Mackie caught the Womens champion off guard by producing a water gun from under the ring and soaking the champion. These antics would eventually backfire as Sara would use the gun as a weapon behind the referees back managing to score the 3 count and retain the womens title. Her night was not over though as upon trying to leave the ring EG Mackie returned with a bucket of water and submerged the cocky womens champion head first to the delight of the fans in Dunfermline .

Following this incident reports have emerged from back stage that Sara’s hair straighteners where later stolen by Mackie causing the womens champion much distress. The incident backstage was captured on film and will be included in the DVD release.

The next match had seeds going back to the Scottish Rampage where both Liam Thomson and Red Lightning where finalists in the fight for your flag tournament. Lightning would go on to victory at that event and this was Liam’s chance for revenge. A hard fought back and forth battle on the Wrestlution stage proved a test for both men with Red eventually coming out on top and proving himself as one of the best has to offer.

The tag team championships where to be decided next with T2K as overwhelming fan favourites going against the team of accomplished and decorated tag team competitor Kid Fite and new partner Vinni James. Things where going well for T2K until a miscommunication saw Darkside abandon his partner. It seemed the reunion was over as the 2 on 1 odds proved too much for Wolfgang, Kid Fite and Vinnie James became new W3L tag team champions.

After one of the most fast passed nights in W3L history it was now time for the main event. As Invincible made his way down to the ring he stopped by his family who where stationed at ringside to witness what would be Invincible’s final match should he not be successful in winning the belt. The Prince of Pain w/ his nurse hit the ring and the match was on with Invincible gaining the upper hand in the early going. With Invincible implementing punishment on the champion the fans began to chant “throw it in” in an effort to convince David Paris to throw in the towel on the title reign of the Prince of Pain.  

Instead Paris resorted to dirty tactics blinding the 30 stone career killer with some sort of white powder. This brought the injured Mike Musso onto the ring apron to speak with the referee about the incident when Paris darted across the ring and punched the injured Musso who was wearing a full arm cast, sending him flying to the floor.

The fans in Dunfermline where disgusted by this act but unfortunately things where about to get worse as the Prince of Pain applied a leg grapevine to Invincibles injured knee. Stuck in the hold Invincible fought to the ropes but was pulled back to the middle of the ring. With Musso knocked out and unable to throw in the towel Invincible began to pass out due to the pain of the submission hold applied by the W3L Champion.

The closing moments of the match saw the Prince of Pain hit Invincibles knee with a chair from ringside, as the champion threatened to repeat this act Invincible’s parents and children where verbally tortured by David Paris who was trying to convince one of them to throw in the towel on Invincibles title hopes and career. Eventually the family took the towel from Mike Musso who was still unconscious from his unprotected fall. With a family argument in progress Invincibles 9 year old daughter snatched the towel from her granddad’s hand and throw it into the ring ending the match and the career of Invincible.

After the match Paris and the Prince of Pain continued to beat down on Invincible causing the dressing room to empty with wrestlers trying to stop the assault. Wolfgang swinging a chair aided in clearing the ring however this action seemed to raise the ire of David Paris who challenged Wolfgang to take the Prince of Pain on in the ring if he wanted to play hero. The Prince of Pain, visibly startled by Paris issuing a challenge on his behalf stepped into the ring. The bell rang and the match was underway, with so many wrestlers at ring side chaos prevailed as the theme of the night and in the middle of it all Wolfgang was able knock the exhausted prince of Pain off his feet, hit a senton bomb and become the seventh man to hold the W3L heavyweight championship.

As the new champion celebrated in the ring his former partner darkside watched on from the entrance of the hall. Wolfgang waved his partner and long time friend down to the ring but Darkside chose to turn and walk away.
