 Due to injuries suffered following a car accident, reigning W3L Heavyweight Champion Darkside will be unable to defend his championship at our “Championship Showdown” event this Sunday at Pettycur Bay holiday park in Kinghorn, Fife .

 Due to us currently being unable to predict a return date for Darkside the World Wide Wrestling League has made the decision to crown an interim W3L heavyweight champion. In an unprecedented move this will mean Darkside will still be recognised as the reigning W3L heavyweight champion with a separate championship being temporarily created during the period of time that Darkside is unable to defend his championship.

 The wrestler who captures the interim W3L heavyweight championship will defend the title in the same manner as he would the original W3L heavyweight championship. When Darkside is cleared to compete he will then as W3L heavyweight champion be required to defend the title against the interim champion with the winner being declared W3L heavyweight champion and the interim version of the title ceasing to exist. There will be no championship “advantage” in this contest meaning a victory by any means would see the winner walk away as W3L heavyweight champion.

 The interim W3L heavyweight champion in Darkside’s absence will be decided this Sunday at the Championship Showdown in Pettycur Bay . 8 Wrestlers will compete in a battle royal with the final two wrestlers competing in the evenings main event to decide the champion.
