Big W3L Championship News - Summer Fever

In an announcement that has shocked the World Wide Wrestling League fans and set a fire under the entire roster. W3L Commissioner Charles Boddington has stated that on August 2nd at Summer Fever, to be held at the Lochgelly centre, he will award the coveted W3L Heavyweight Championship to the winner of a 20 man Championship Rumble!
Boddington himself has held the once hard fought prize since winning the belt in controversial manner at Remedy earlier this year. Recently in Broxburn Boddington was forced to defend the crown against former champion, an angry Mike Musso.
Boddington to the dismay of our fans kept the title on a technicality as the referee had disqualified Boddington for poor conduct during the match (striking the ref with his brief case.). Announcing his plans for the title Boddington recorded a statement (click the below link) immediately following the show in Broxburn.

The Championship Rumble will see wrestlers draw numbers between 1-20 and enter the ring at 2 minute intervals being eliminated only by being thrown over the top rope and both feet touching the floor.
Already announced for the Championship Rumble are the following names :- Carl Conroy, Liam Thompson, Highlander and Tag Team Champions Fight Club. Also in the championship Rumble will be Mike Musso and David Paris. However in an interesting twist designed no doubt by the commissioner to reduce Mike Musso’s chances of regaining the gold, Musso and Paris will compete in a Remedy rematch with the winner taking the favorable number 20 Rumble slot and the looser being forced to enter at number 1.
On August 2nd 20 men will come to Lochgelly with championship aspirations however only 1 will leave with the gold. Stay tuned to W3Lwrestling.com for information as tickets will be on sale soon.
