Summer Fever weekend is here!
The W3L regrets to inform fans of the following unfortunate circumstances surrounding this weekends live events. First of all we regret to inform fans of two knee injuries that will see both Red Lightning and W3L All-Comers Champion Phil Powers out of action for the foreseeable future. Secondly due to personal reasons W3L heavy-weight champion Rowdy’ Ricky Knight has had to withdraw from all his non local bookings including his scheduled title defense at Summer Fever.
W3L management wish Ricky all the best as he does the right thing and will welcome him back as soon as he is ready to return to the road.
In the interest of the fans enjoyment the W3L team has made the difficult decision to vacate the Heavy-weight title. This decision is however purely so the fans get to see a title match on Saturday and is not a reflection on the former title holder. A battle royal will be held on August 4th in Kelty with the last two men facing off at Summer Fever in Kirkcaldy on the 5th for the heavy-weight title. Ricky Knight will be immediately named the number one contender upon his return which we certainly hope will be sooner rather than later.
Tracy Smother will still appear as advertised at both events this weekend.
